The “Model Parliament of Albania” program is run under the “mock members of parliament - real lawmaking” slogan and aims at organizing the national debate competition with students (18-24 years of age) from public and non public universities, to promote the lawmaking process.

The objectives of this program are to:

• Organize an annual national competition
• Promote and strengthen debate clubs in universities
• Inform about the lawmaking process based on the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania
• Introduce youth to the culture of constructive fact-based, evidence-based, and critical analysis-based parliamentary debate on concrete and current topics being discussed in the actual public discourse.

Any interested faculty will need to establish a team of 5 members to participate in this program. Teams debate against one another and are evaluated by the Debate Judges Committee to progress to the next stage, until a winning team is decided in the final.
