“Parliament Comes to You” aims at educating youth about the work of Parliament and the representative role of the members of Parliament. By educating citizens, sessions promote active citizen engagement, mostly focusing on youth, in decision making processes especially with Parliament. In addition to promoting a citizen engagement, where youth feel their voice is heard and that they are part of the processes, this initiative also aims at improving public trust in public institutions and democracy.

Through informative sessions, Civic Education organizes meetings with various age groups across Albania, in cooperation with education institutions and local civil society organizations. Meetings are usually about 2 hours.

In these meetings, participants are introduced to and informed about the following topics:

• The role of parliamentary transparency and Parliament mechanisms for citizens, aimed at ensuring participation and engagement.
• The work of the Member of Parliament in constituencies (Green Week).
• Legal initiatives, petitions and public hearings.
• Educational programs to better understand the role of Parliament and the parliamentary process.
